SILS / SCARLESS SURGERY- SINGLE INCISION LAPAROSCOPIC CHOLECYSTECTOMY
SILS is an advanced minimal invasive surgery in which surgery is done exclusively through single incision instead of 3-4 incisions in conventional laparoscopic surgery. It is practised by very few Surgeons in todays date. Because of single incision which is also hidden inside the umbilicus & since we take internal stitches, this surgery is also called Scarless surgery. SILS has the major advantage of single incision hence less pain, less chances of infection, early return to work & cosmetic advantage.
